Opportunities TO TAKE
If you visit Baker Butte Lookout between July and September, you’ll encounter ladybugs that are covered in rock. They cover anything, even rocks, branches, and leaves—I’m not joking. Because you can climb to the top of the watchtower at Baker Butte Lookout, we adore it. It’s absolutely gorgeous, but it’s quite a ways up, so I hope you’re not afraid of heights.
The Lavender Farm: When you first get out of the automobile, all you can smell is lavender. It is lovely. There are lavender plants in the field, and their store sells other lavender-related goods. Such a sweet small place to go.
Potato Lake is a tiny pond where we like skipping rocks. If you’re fortunate, you might come across a snake, some dragonflies, or perhaps a deer. The distance between the parking lot and the pond is a quarter mile, but it’s enjoyable to begin moving, especially in pleasant weather.
Another gorgeous location that you shouldn’t miss is the Mogollon Rim. The vistas are breathtaking, and you can even go out and stand on the edge of everything if you find the appropriate rock.
Tonto Natural Bridge is a short drive from Pine, but its well worth the trip. While you’re down in this sort of valley, mountains and gorgeous pine trees surround you. You can hike down the trail to visit the Natural Bridge, but exercise caution because it’s slick and can be challenging for little children.

We adore the breakfast and lunch options at Early Bird Cafe. Both their french toast and their biscuits and gravy are excellent. Your dinner will be provided really quickly, and their staff is the friendliest!
We’ve only ever eaten Pine Creek Fudge Ice Cream and Espresso, but their fudge looks great. They also have a cute small porch where we enjoy eating our ice cream.
Old County Inn: A cute little pizzeria with great food! Prepare for a wait if you visit on the weekend, but it shouldn’t be too awful as they offer outdoor games and even live music.
